Hello,
Nicolas here again after a long-time hiatus. Finally, university is over. I got a Bachelor in EFL/ESL education after a long stressful degree exam. The road was full of ups and downs, I met wonderful people in the process, I faced challenging experiences and felt the spirit of teaching and learning from school communities. These were the most exciting six years of my academic life. Surely I will miss Universidad Santo Tomás. It will be my third home for the rest of my life, the place which gave me wings when other places torned me apart.
Well, things are now done. But, the adventure shall not stop ever.
At the beginning of this month, I got contracted for a job at the Arturo Merino Benitez Airport, now I work for a company called Andes Airport Services. As the name suggest, we provide services to the airport specifically loading baggage to the airplanes.
How things are there? Well, there is a lot of weight to carry from one side to another. My shoulders and back are having a little pain. Being sedentary is no longer an option. That's good up to some extent: now I will have an excuse to do exercise and take care about the things I eat for lunch.
Australia is nearer every day I work in the apron. It doesn't matter the hottest days neither the freezing nights. As soon as I get the money and the paperwork to leave Chile (at least, for a determined amount of time), the dream will become true.
Human beings always look for their happiness in the life. We follow our instincts and fullfill the hearts with positive feelings. It's natural we move on with the rhythm of our own winds. As soon as someone gives the first step, she or he inspires others to do so too. We follow new winds when our lifes feel as similar to words like "miserable". Yes, it is true to ensure that radical changes imply leaving the people you love away. To start over is not something you have to regret. Your inner circles will understand you, they will support you and always remember you they will be for you whenever you need them.
Never fear to look for your happiness. As soon as you feel the wind guiding your steps, be prepared to follow it. Do the things that fulfill your soul. We will support you. We love you. We will follow your example.
This entry is dedicated to those friends which moved on to new challenges, my dearest friends Anne Marie and Fatima, whom I believe they are reading this. Whatever you do, I will support you. I am deeply sorry for not being with you these months. You inspired me, now it is my turn to do the same for you. Follow the new winds.
With love and a load of hugs,
- Nicolas
